Our Name
Our name remember the ancestral technology used by the Vikings to know the position of the sun in a completely overcast sky. The sunstone (Icelandic: sólarsteinn) is a type of mineral attested in several 13th–14th century written sources in Iceland as compass in a cloudy days using the polarization properties of calcite rock crystal.
